For any SPARC partner, the ultimate goal is to see students and young Delawareans succeed in their careers. Recently, Delmarva Power created the SPARC Fund awarding $5000 to Charter School of Wilmington and Howard Vo-Tech to be given out as $500 scholarships towards higher education, whether that is an accredited university or college, community college, trade school or other two-year degree-granting institution.
While the applications are still in progress, students who receive the scholarships have to meet certain requirements. Juniors and seniors who apply must retain a minimum 2.5 GPA and complete a minimum of five hours on the SPARC network. Recipients of the grants will also become SPARC Ambassadors, helping students at other schools learn more about the SPARC platform.
There are so many different options that are available through SPARC, and the more work-based learning activities and opportunities we make available, the more students will participate. If you want to learn more about the Delmarva Power SPARC Fund, email Marianne.email@example.com.
